How to approve your DebiCheck mandate with Standard Bank

Our helpful guide can assist you to approve your DebiCheck mandate with Standard Bank through mobile banking as well as USSD.

Banking app:

  1. You will receive an SMS from Standard Bank stating you have a mandate to authenticate/approve.
  2. Log into your mobile banking app (Android | iOS)
  3. A message will be displayed advising you that you have a debit order awaiting your review
  4. Click on the review link
  5. Click on “View Request”
  6. Accept or Reject the mandate
  7. Click on Accept Mandate Confirmation which will appear as a pop-up message
  8. A One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to your cellphone
  9. Enter the OTP supplied to confirm the mandate.

USSD:

  1. You will receive an SMS from Standard Bank stating you have a mandate to approve.
  2. Dial *120*2345#
  3. Select option 1
  4. Enter your CSP (Customer-Selected PIN) when prompted
  5. Select option 5 (DebiCheck)
  6. Select the option for the relevant mandate that needs to be approved
  7. Debit order details will be displayed
  8. Select “Accept”
  9. A reference number will be generated.
